My curious fascination with Hitler finally explained

Ever since I learnt off Hitler from a very young age I have always been intrigued by him.

I'd think to myself looking at a picture of Mein Führer how could such a short unimpressive man with a funny hair cut become an almost mythological conqueror sending the hole “civilised’’ world  in to a frenzy.

When I was later introduced to the colonisation of Africa by the western powers for centuries it finally clicked why I have always admired Hitler, for a small moment in history the imperial powers of France and great Britain, two of the most prolific colonisers of the past century, felt what it was like to live under the boat of a foreign power.

Most hilariously hypocritical of all was the French and the British recruiting young men from all over their colonies to “fight for freedom against tyranny’’ while they themselves were a terror visited on the peoples of Africa and Asia, the Pacific - the sun never set on the British empire after all.

After the imperial powers were left in tatters as a result of a good thrashing by the Germans it seemed that they had finally quenched their hunger for conquest.

Within decades of the end of WHITE WAR II the imperial octopus was finally resealing its tentacles from the lands of other people, one can even go as far as saying that had it not being for Mein Führer colonisation could have lasted well into the new millennium

We can only hope that in our generation a neo-Führer can come about and finally deal the death blow to slay this hydra of imperialism, racism, militarism and capital exploitation of the environment once and for all.
