The author of the abovementioned article is fully supported, by that, the same sentiments are echoed. There is an outcry to reduce poverty in our south African societies, but the strategies to achieve this noble objective lacks strong muscles to carry the heavy load across the river (poverty).

adding to the previously articulated position, the following should be incorporated: re-introduction of experiential learning by technikons, colleges trade qualifications and in-house trainings.

Colleges are further applauded for having theoretical approach and practical - this will enable their products to 'touch the ground running', unlike a graduate from a University.  Higher institutions of learning must drastically change their approaches to produce products that are ready the job market or able to be successful entrepreneurs.
