On the subject of theft

In another vein - this is about petty thievery from homes. It is rife in the suburbs and although the Police are prompt and attentive - nothing is ever recovered. In the past 2 years I have lost a car - and now the following:-

On 30th May I got home at 5 pm to find that I had been burgled. The thief or thieves [I presume there was more than one] only got away with a few items - but it was treasured silver jewellery [unusual designer rings [one in silver with gold detail and two oblong cut rubies with small cut diamonds on either side]; another with circular shape inset with offset purple cabochon amethyst, chain with cabochon turquoise set in silver pendant, a snake bracelet, silver with black obsidian mask inset brooch, plus bangles and chains and scarf clips.As well as an MSI notebook laptop computer and some other items. I wish they could have been apprehended by the police! Having a problem claiming from insurance as I am supposed to prove ownership. But I would much rather have my precious possessions back! I have described some articles, just to alert anyone who might come across suchlike! I live in Morningside, Durban.
