Racial syndrome..a dividing line

The Race race issue

The issue surrounding the “black face” saga is not only about the students who performed such a controversial act that is embedded in most white societies of this country. It is about the balance of power, where the white races have to literally now succumb to the “uncertainty” of the black nation politically and socially, and the only way to voice that out is through mockery and subjugation of the lesser individual/s in terms of our socio-economic standards.  It has aroused a political debate that is long overdue, the racial concern that is subtle in this country has reached the saturation point where it can no longer be ignored, and that needs a quick solution before it erupts to uncontrollable proportions.

The problem lies in the long history of Colonialization, a phenomenon which inadvertently exults white people, and that subsequently has led to a notion to view themselves as the superior race. And now with the recent transfer of power and the government of black class, the “lesser human beings” is to them unperceivable and unprecedented.

It is the phenomenon of racial superiority, which emanates from the illusion that the Anglo-Saxon colonization of Africa was a “light” in the Dark Continent, where the colonialist’s found barbaric human beings who were in desperate need of being saved from themselves and the continent which they occupied. Cecil John Rhodes clearly articulated this point when he said, “I contend that we are the first race in the world and that there more of the world we inhabit the better it is for the human race. Just fancy those parts that are at present inhabited by the most despicable specimens of human beings: what an alteration there be if they were brought under Anglo-Saxon influence”.

The notion of white civilization has created an egoistic attitude which inadvertently ascribe oneself as superior to the other, whilst migration of Races to the African continent has brought complementing cultures and values which make up the rainbow nation.

It is that time that all people who belong in the Rainbow Nation of Southern Africa should adhere to the Constitution of the Country and acknowledge the Rights each other race; creed; ethnic group; culture and religion that we shall reach our full potential.

Without tolerance of each other and respect of one’s culture and race that are identically unique, we shall never be stable and successful politically; socially; culturally and economically. The race towards the balance of power is at stake and chaos will soon be the norm of the day, if all the Races continue with such transgressions, irrespective of the perpetrator/s.

Oh boy, here we go again. Another person uncertain about himself. Just live your life and get on with it.

I think the problem is that some people prefer group-think and others are far more individualistic. I don't give a rat's rectum about so-called "white civilisation" or "black civilisation" or anything that tries to make me fit into a category. The problem is that those who choose to think in groups and categories have no cognitive models for those who choose a bit of this and a bit of that to form their identities. To group-thinkers, identity outside a group category is unthinkable. Sadly, this results in the application of stereotypes. Very often, these stereotypes are negative because, to groups, one is either IN or OUT. The real danger of "white consciousness" and "black consciousness" is that they are binding categories of exclusion. Please, I exhort everybody: "Try to think for yourself".

Stop intellekshualising author, you'll hurt yourself.

forgive me but this is all BS. The reason for the racial problem is 1] a overly high degree of non thinking people who permanently have a begging bowl in their hand. 2] A second class mind set mixed with entitlement no matter the social level. This is indicative where even the well paid are into something crooked. 3] inability to work as equals always requiring special treatment 4]Finally if any of you travelled to Borneo some other god forsken place. You strick up a conversation with those in the bush you would be reminded of the first colonists in Africa seeing this backward inferior race. Always remember Blacks in Southern Africa were a mix of stone and Iron age people. Those who brought ships machines and other technology like yourselves would feel and be superior.

Here's the problem. When you say "white" you are talking about me. Yet you have zero right to just chuck me in with those silly young girls who do not have a clue about what is what in society yet and probably thought there was nothing wrong with what they are doing. You are throwing me in with children who misbehaved. Now I know there are plenty of white folks who also still have such an utterly narrow minded view of the world, and are all too happy to say "black" this and that and insult you personally. But you know it is not right... But go ahead saying "black" and "white". If your going to step on people's toes you may as well do it good right? Take the one-sided view. Draw that dividing line in monochrome. Just don't expect your views to be relevant to where SA actually needs to go.

Respect a culture that kills his sons in initiation school and circumcise girls? The white race succumbs to hard work and creating wealth.

Rhodes and co. transformed SA and Rhodesia into a modern industrialized nations. Mugagbe and Zuma are doing there best to reverse the trend and deindustrialize and you want to know which is the superior race. Heres a tip it is the one that provides jobs and thereby dignity to poverty stricken people

Racial syndrome is a result of quite a few things. History, culture and real life experiences contributes to the conditioning we are subjected to. This conditioning combined with the way our minds functions results in prejudices and stereotypes witch in turn can manifest as racist tendencies. All races share a history that most likely contributed to a serious distrust in other races. All races, in my opinion, have cultural tendencies including pride, defensiveness and preferences for their own. Most of all, all people are subject to instinctive mental processes like creating stereotypes, having prejudices and being bias. Whether morally right or wrong, it is natural. All of us are guilty of having racist tendencies for some reason or the other. That is why when accusing white people of racism, you have to try to put it in perspective by admitting black people are also racist. Then you must decide whether the forbidden act is really racist, or whether your opinion is not itself based on your own racial assumptions. Just a thought...

Anyone can use selective, finite instances of history or quotes out of context to make his point, in this instance to 'prove' that all whites are inherently racist. Lets just leave history where it belongs and move forward, we're not dinosaurs hey
