SA under Zuma

I listened with despair as Mbeki denounced the facts about Aids, I almost cried with frustration at the idiocy of Doctor Beetroot.

The ANC Ideal, the Rainbow Nation, it all seemed to be falling down, then along came Jacob Zuma.  Was I wrong!   Jacob Zuma, along with a handful of cronies has single handedly almost destroyed the country,  it’s people and it’s economy.

It seems he owns the courts and everything else, he does as he pleases and the sycophants all defend him.  The tiny minority who do speak out against him are derided as enemies of the state,  crazy, bear a grudge or whatever else enters the minds of the Zuma supporters.

Die hard ANC members like Ronnie Kasrils, a member of the ANC since 1960, a founding member of the MK and former minister of state has been described as an enemy of the state by none other than the organisation he helped to build.

The ANC itself described both him and Madlala-Routledge as “factory faults”. That comment is chilling in itself, as though the ANC were some kind of machine churning out clones.

Our old friend Malema who once declared he would die for Zuma has turned on him, albeit for selfish reasons, does anyone really believe he is trying to help the poor and under privileged?

Jay Naidoo, former cabinet minister is the latest to join the ever growing queue to denounce Zuma and his cronies.

Cosatu recently demanded that if the ANC take the Western Cape, they must sack all whites in local and regional government. Why? To replace them with incompetent, corrupt thieves from the ANC ranks?  To what purpose? The Western Cape is the best run and least corrupt region in the country, why on earth would you want to destroy that?

There are many grassroots ANC supporters who are finally seeing what Zuma is doing to the country, if they don’t support the ANC under Zuma and won’t give their vote to another party, they should spoil their vote, no party gains, but the ANC surely lose votes and that is the key to getting rid of Zuma and corruption.

The people must be incredibly upset with the ANC to even contemplate voting for the EFF and they are gaining votes by the day and yet, Zuma and his cronies refuse to believe this, going so far as to tell voters who are receiving grants that they would be stealing if they did not vote for the ANC.

Despicable but nonetheless expected behaviour from the current ANC leadership. Is this really what Mandela, Tambo, Plaatje, Dube and Seme envisioned when they founded the ANC?  Corruption, nepotism, fraud, theft?  How is it possible that under one man, so much can go wrong in such a short time?

The broken empty promises, the senior members found guilty of various crimes who are still walking free, Winnie Mandela, Cele, Shaik, to name a few, McBride, convicted of numerous crimes is now in a prominent position within the ANC.

All examples of the shameful behaviour of the ANC and this is only the tip of the iceberg, there is still the arms deal, Nkandla, Quattro and many other cases to deal with before everything is known.

The country is sleep walking into a one party state, it will be too late to do anything about it after the elections next month.  Now is the time to remove Zuma and his cronies or reap the consequences.
