I spent most of yesterday (and probably will do so today as well), listening to the judgement being read in court on my wireless. Two words sprang immediately to my mind, OJ Simpson. Yep, this is that trial all over again.
So this one's not a racial trial, fair enough, but the gist of what's happening in this case is a damn near travesty.
From all I've read about what went down after the last 6 months, this guy's guiltier than Peeping Tom outside a kindergarten lavatory.
There are 3 things for me that just don't add up, and please, feel free to call me out on either if you don't agree:
1 - Who doesn't first wake his bedside lover to check before wandering off into the dark to confront the alleged intruders?
2 - If you're leaving the bedroom to confront said intruders, and you're telling your partner to phone the police, aren't you listening to make sure she heard you and that's she's taking the necessary action as per your command?
3 - When you're outside the toilet door, screaming at the intruders who have locked themselves inside, why ain't you listening to hear from the person behind the door if they're willing to come out with their hands up, before firing off 4 rounds like some dumbass cowboy?
You see folks, none of this makes any sense to me.
I mean really, in first-world countries, you won't find this kind of injustic happening. Not in our courts. No, sir!
