Every time something great happens I go to social networks with the hope of seeing my fellow countrymen celebrating with me. Instead I am always confronted with such negativity. People in this country take everything good, suck in dry and turn it into a race issue. Our Miss SA, a beautiful intelligent representative of this amazing country won Miss World and instead of congratulations I see 'broughg to you by Afrikaaners' or ' why is Africa being represented by a white person'. I am so sick if South Africans who are always trying to find a negative in every situation. We complain, moan and groan about everything. We never want to see any good that happens here. Last year news24 reported that our country was the only African country that budgeted to fight malaria. The responses dumbfounded me, in the likes of 'government's way to steal money' and 'why budget for a disease we don't even have?'. People here are so determined to see wrong in everything ( and by people I mean both black and white) that we will pull our country down. I feel sorry for the next generation. They will inherit this negative nancy tendency and we will have children who will always look at the cup as half-empty. Come on South Africans, get over yourselves. And all negative comments posted here will only just prove my point.
