I have the utmost respect for an international icon like Nelson Mandela.
But when corrupt individuals live opulent lives and ignore the downtrodden, poverty stricken masses of South Africans, then Madiba’s message of work, bread and salt for all is a complete joke.
How can government officials namely ministers, premiers and so-called honourable members of Parliament celebrate Mandela’s life and legacy as if nothing bad is happening in South Africa.
They range from load shedding to using tax payer’s money to build private properties and smitten ministers using state money to satisfy anonymous boyfriends.
The list of disgraceful occurrences goes on and on.
Reputable struggle heroes have graced Parliament’s podium to fight and strive for a better South African society that is free of support and immoral deeds.
Walter Sisulu, Oliver Thambo. Nelson Mandela, Steve Biko and others are turning in their graves due to the irresponsible behaviour of our reckless and undeserving leaders.
What have I said here should give the president a wake-up call: he who himself is involved in shady dealings like Nkandla and Gupta Gate issues.
I hope I have given the ignorant state personnel enough food for thought.
