Stupid South Africans

I am constantly surprised by many things in SA - even though I no longer should be - and the garbage spouted by ANC/Government MP’s and their spokesmen figures prominently here.

I’ve now realised that these people actually do believe that we South Africans are stupid and as such they can tell us anything, and expect that we will believe them.

Perhaps they should read our letters, and comments, and then they would realise that far from us being the stupid, uninformed clods that they think we are we actually know what’s going on and accordingly we laugh at their ineffectual attempts to divert the flak.

At least then they may stop with the BS which just wastes our time, hurts our ears and offends our sensibilities.

You idiots are making a laughing stock out of South Africa, and by association therefore us, and we’re tired of it.

BB go to AFCON, don’t win a game and exit after the 1st round – as normal in all competitions they compete in – and the minister of sport is not unhappy, making all kinds of excuses to justify their exit, as if they were first time competitors, or amateurs, or coming from some 3rd world backwater where there are no fields, no kit, no players and no money to pay them.

This is the same man, I think, who supports the All Blacks when the Springboks play them. Ja, well, no fine!

Perhaps, Fukile, you should be Minster of Propaganda because you have a knack for it.

Next, we have Eskom – Eishkom to those who benefit(?) from their service.

Premier rates for consumers who are supplied at peak times; now there’s something new.

Pity you idiots didn’t think of this brilliant plan years back when you should have been building more capacity, when you shouldn’t have been throwing money around like it was confetti and when you should have been planning ahead.

Now it just smack of exploitation, which it is. Blackmail, in fact, and unlikely to endear you to any, especially large industries which need electricity to drive the economy you are busy wrecking.

We know you lot are in the dwang and nothing you now say will change that. You have not the capacity to supply a demand that has outstripped even your reserves. You cannot supply, even if you want to, at whatever price you see fit, as your forward planning, budgeting and management is crap. You will lose the grid come this winter and you are killing the economy.

Accept this, as we have accepted it, just stop lying to us and get those 2 white elephants built, even if people have to work on weekends, public holidays and the President’s birthday. No more lies, just do what you have to do.

Thirdly, dear Government, please cease and desist with the BS about over- and under-recovery regarding the fuel price.

We know what the price of oil is, we know how far it has come down, and we also know that SASOL produces much of our fuel, from coal – something we have plenty of.

Thus, just drop the price to where market forces state it should be, enable us to continue working so that the economy can survive and stop milking us.

We know that both the fuel profits – and they are huge profits – and the e-tolls are ways you seek to fill up your purses, and pockets, and for this reason many of us just won’t play along. What did you think?

We know that you are cunning, devious, above the law and only out to make money for yourselves, and believe it or not we accept this as all politicians lie and take what they can. It’s what you do.

However, many of your explanations, excuses, statements and laments are really stupid and often it pays to rather keep quiet and let others think you a fool, than open your mouth wide, insert both feet and prove it.
