Thank Goodness for God!

A while ago, I nearly "turned Atheist". THANK GOODNESS I came to my senses!  I have found that most atheists are egotistical, irrational and close-minded.

As Christians we are called closed  minded because we reject something like the big bang theory.  Well, I disagree.  I believe in a God that can move mountains!  How open minded is that.

I will not be getting into the "God does not exist" debate, because if it's one thing I have learned it's not to argue with an Atheist.  They will not budge, they will revert to name calling and blasphemy will be rampant.

You might not believe in God, but I do.  He is kind and loving (and please don't quote the versus about his cruelty - I know them, BUT I understand them).

This is an article for Christians.

I want to give thanks to God.  He has given me more than I have ever needed.  He spares me daily and I am thankful.  He is Almighty.  He is the great I AM.

If you also want to thank God, feel free to leave a comment.  If you're an atheist, you are in my prayers and please ignore this.

Susan writes: -As Christians we are called closed minded because we reject something like the big bang theory. Well, I disagree.- Actually, the Big Bang Theory was first proposed in 1927 by Monseigneur Georges Henri Joseph Édouard Lemaître, a Catholic Priest. Don't you even do any basic research before writing nonsense in articles here? Or, are you going to claim that Catholics are not True Christians?

Hi susan If God can move mountains, why can't he create from a singularity an expanse of the cosmos as is observed in all astronomy?

Wow! Name calling huh? Yet you call us egotistical and irrational. Okay...

What part of "atheists please ignore this" is difficult to understand. Thank you for your comments, but please move along

"Religion is based, I think, primarily and mainly upon fear. It is partly the terror of the unknown and partly, as I have said, the wish to feel that you have a kind of elder brother who will stand by you in all your troubles and disputes. Fear is the basis of the whole thing -- fear of the mysterious, fear of defeat, fear of death. Fear is the parent of cruelty, and therefore it is no wonder if cruelty and religion have gone hand in hand." - Bertrand Russell

Praise the Lord!!!!!!! I remember you Susan; You asked questions about speaking in other tongues. The Lord Jesus said that there's rejoicing in heaven when a sinner repents. You have caused great joy in heaven and this is the best news I've received today. I am shedding tears of joy. This is what makes it all worthwhile to comment on News24. My wife said something last week that stuck with me, "The only life worth living is to live flat out for God...If we don't, we're busy with wood, hay and stubble". Welcome back home....Our wonderful, loving heavenly Father missed you. Please read Luke 15:11-32.

Straightforward and to the point: I like it.

Thanks for the article Susan. Our God is a wonderful God and work in mysterious ways. God bless you. It's true what you say about atheists and that they blaspheme and insult but I think we should not judge them on that and still talk to them with patience and love the way Jesus would.....every soul in precious to Him and there is still time to repent. Shalom
