Water Savings Pledge

WATER SAVINGS PLEDGE

We are told by Eskom that load shedding is going to be with us for at least three years. This is scary, however we have embraced this state of affairs. Further, Eskom has requested additional tariff increases to keep the lights on which is also frightening given our affordability levels. Despite all this woes, I’m certain we can all survive without electricity.

The worst panic for me is if a similar turbulence had to happen with water. Imagine waking up to the news that there will be water rationing in the next three years. What would your reaction be? However if such was announced with a proviso that rationing could be averted if each family strives to save 2000 Litres of water per annum. Will such be a monumental request?  If not then please consider the pledge below. If yes then provide some suggestions.

v Commit to examine my  water bill in details

v Report inaccuracies of my bill to my municipality
