What a great compasionate nation we are!

What a wonderful nation we are!

We are so caring, it brings a tear to my eye!

This morning on my way to work, I quickly stopped at Randridge Mall, in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg, to do a some bank business. Lo and behold, right in front of the bank, and the 'parking manager's office', I noticed an elderly lady slowly moving towards the handicapped parking bay.

Out of absolutely nowhere another driver, white Ford sedan registration CZ 17 GM GP, shot past her and reversed into the parking she was aiming at.

I walked over to the "gentleman" in question and asked him if he didn't see the old lady in the Honda. He blatantly ignored me! I then informed in, in the most unconfrontational way humanly possible in this situation, that he is parked in a designated handicapped parking.

He turned around and told me in no uncertain terms, "F...k you, you white racist c..t!"

I didn't mention the fact that it was an African male driver, because that was not at issue here, yet this man immediately wanted to turn this into a racist attack, the moment he was confronted with his own lack of any human compassion or basic manners.

All of this happened while a uniformed Randridge Mall security official stood there doing absolutely nothing! Not in the mood for a fist fight, I turned away and walked to the 'parking managers office', to ask them to explain the rules to this obnoxious driver. I found a gentleman fast asleep in a small office. On waking him up, he told me he can't help me, and there is no manager on the premises to talk to me!

I decided to report the matter to the Randridge Mall Centre Management. The receptionist duly called her manager, who told me they have no authority to do anything about it. I said to her that sounds impossible, when she told me, in a very pissed off angry manner, "What do you expect me to do? I have many daily problems to solve, and this is something I cannot do anything about. It is not my job to teach people decency!"Well, this is rather obvious.

Disregarding the dickhead driver, the non-committal security official, the sleeping parking manager, the ultimate insult to injury is the Randridge Mall manageress's attitude. All consumers in the northern suburbs please take not: "RANDRIDGE MALL regards their handicapped parking as a free for all."

"RANDRIDGE MALL's management do actually not feel one iota for their customers.""Do not expect any from of humanity or social responsibility from RANDRIDGE MALL."
