In a few days, the 16 days of activism against women and child abuse starts. Frankly, I am sick of these programs and drives. Do you know why? Cos it doesn’t change people, in fact the abuse gets more violent and the perpetrators are easily let off the hook.
They claim insanity or my personal favourite, “the devil / alcohol/ drugs made me do it” and yes, we buy it. Oh, these people must be sick, that’s what we think. But its hogwash!!! They are NOT sick. They are cowards. They are NOT mentally disabled. They are weaklings.
When people blame everything but themselves for the wrongs they have committed, and we believe them, then there is something seriously wrong with our brains.
Have you ever heard a heterosexual man who cheated on his wife say “ I’m sorry honey. I was so drunk, I didn’t know what I was doing and I slept with another man???” NO! He expects his wife to believe that he knew the person wasn’t a man but he didn’t know it wasn’t his wife???? He thinks his wife is an idiot, plain and simple.
And these weak, pathetic things called humans who torment and abuse little kids, and then say they didn’t know what they were doing, RUBBISH!!! They think WE are idiots. They knew better than to pick on the big guy next door that would pummel them into the ground, didn’t they?
They knew who couldn’t fight back and they torture and abuse those little trusting souls.
Are we stopping this abuse:- let’s see in 2013, the world’s population was 7 095 217 980 (that’s just over 7 BILLION people)
Social media/ social drives (1.15 billion Facebook; 730 million Twitter ; 238 million LinkedIn; 500 million Google +) = FAILED
Religions of the world (Christians 33.39%, Muslims 22.74%, Muslim 22.74%, Hindu 13.8%, Buddhist 6.77%, Sikh 0.35%, Jewish 0.22%, Baha'i 0.11%, other religions 10.95%, non-religious 9.66%, atheists 2.01%) That’s 88.33% of the population who belong to a religious sect that teaches love, peace and compassion to one another; that teach that children are a gift from the Almighty THAT’S over 6 BILLION people who should KNOW better!!!= FAILED
Governments = FAILED
How are these cowards getting away with this abuse when the actually human beings are in the majority? Simple. We are so caught up in ourselves- the WE ARE WORTH IT playing in our heads, we have seen the abuse but we turn a blind eye- its not my problem, I cant get involved. Well, today it is time.
There is a difference between discipline and abuse, there is a difference between a child crying in pain and that of a child just crying.
Which is stronger- two men who are fighting or the crowd that can pull them apart; a weakling attacking and abusing a child or the community that can kick down the door and rescue them?
We , the world have fallen victim to the hedonistic view that we are better than the person next to us. We dont associate with undesireables and as long as it doesnt happen to us, we carry on with our lives.
If a little child is crying, find out why.- Get to know your neighbours. Every crime that happens in this world, someone somewhere knows about it and DID NOTHING.
Today, make the change to care about someone other than your own self, care about the ones who dont have to eat, care about the ones in pain. You cant care about the planet and not care about the people in it- thats hypocritical!
