Young / Unemployed? Here is some help! (2)

I went over a few quick ways to pick up some employability / marketable skills in the last post. This post here will just go into a few more resources that you can use to get yourself established.

ODesk . All those skills you have spent time picking up on, are now instantaneously on demand. People from all over the world use this site to find people to do tasks in code / design / SEO / accountants. If you have your skill set together, you can seriously start making something of yourself through that platform. Before I got the job at an SEO Company Manchester, I built up my entire portfolio through jobs I did through that site.

Elance.  An alternative to ODesk.

Source Wave. If you would like to become a bit more of an advanced SEO, or would like to know a few ways to make money online, this is the guy for you. Like that Aussie guy, he is a bit unconventional in how he does things, albeit a lot better.

Fiverr.  A great marketplace where everything costs $5. You can have professional logos made, videos, the works. If you have a really simple service you can do in a quick turnaround, there is another great place for you to make a bit of coin from. You will probably also be able to find accountants and people who offer great advice on different aspects of your business and where it is up to at that point.

I know that a lot of us have been let down by how ill prepared the schooling system has made us, but the internet provides all the knowledge in the world at your fingertips. Go and learn everything you can, and you will be able to live like a rock star.
