This thing of transformation in the different sport codes has been delayed for too long; government has continued to be ignored by those who are conservatism that prefer the status quo to remain the same. Mbalula has showed them that postponing this matter for tomorrow will not work, because tomorrow may not arrive. I am sure they thought he was a barking dog without teeth to bite, but he has proven them wrong. To ban all the sport codes that have failed to meet the transformation quote from partaken from the major event is the right step in the right direction and the country need to applaud your department, it is a milestone.
This country has been out crying for too long, the time has come for all the sport codes to reflect the demographics of this country when representing this country abroad but not on the expense of Excellency. But there are those who are claiming that Bafana Bafana has failed to transform, which they are wrong because they have failed to come up with names that deserve to be part of the Bafana Bafana squad they believe are deprived the chance of playing in the national team. When you look at the Bafana Bafana squad you will see that all those white players that deserve to be there are always included to be part of it.
In order for this country to move forward such topic of transformation should form part of the national dialogue, although there are those who do not want to hear it .People tend to deflect by claiming that the government wants them to take people based on colour not on merits, running away from the fact that this is what they are current doing to the once disadvantaged groups. I personal salute the actions of minister of sport and recreation for putting a stop to this once and for all.
