Being African means we are one...

Being African means we are one though we might not be from the same country but we are family. 

There is now a new home affairs that is officially opened.  Why do they keep the other foreigners in prison because they were not aware of any changes?  

When they went to renew  their Asylum they were just arrested and put I cells waiting to be deported while they had their valid papers.

This leads to people from outside the country to go and renew their Asylum because they are scared to be arrested and be deported while they have been in the country for some years and have been renewing all along without any problem.  Now, however, they are being arrested and be kept in cells for days before going to Lindela and wait to be deported.  This is not fairly ruled and those people must be told their reasons for being arrested as the police that are keeping them do not hold them for any crime committed or illegal papers but just keep them until the DHA take the people to depot to their country.

Some were students studying here in South Africa but they are taken away from the home affairs and some have families around and they are arrested without their children knowing.   They remain alone as children while parents are gone.  Those who must be arrested are those who do not have papers at all and those with expired papers from 4 weeks.   They should not be arrested at the DHA and make them sign papers which they do not know of deportation.  

These people are innocent and they must be released and go to this new home affairs to extend their temporary papers.  They should be treated fairly as one nation.
