It is my considered opinion that South Africa's official use of the word 'foreigner' is in itself an incitement for exclusion and rejection.
The word foreigner means something or somebody who does not belong; something/somebody that must be feared and must of necessity be isolated.
The words we say have a powerful effect on what we become.
If the country is to make headway in addressing the xenophobic violence then the starting point must be how we address each other by the words we say.
We are a product of what comes out of our mouths than what comes in.
Some suggestions instead of the 'foreigner' word:- migrants, visitorsGod bless South Africa
