It is no lie that the apartheid system did not and never will work and why because it divides people. In society people function as humans - all going about their living diay to day, suffering losses, winning, crying tears of joy and of pain and above all loving their families. So where then is the division?
Dividing people with pity or dividing in any way is just wrong because the divider or pitier automatically puts themself as a supremist and can someone please explain how any human becomes more supreme or greater than the next?
Is it money? Is it education? Is it royalty? Worth thinking hard about that one because there is absolutely nothing in this life that says anything is better, greater than another because nothing is forever that is tangible. It all just boils down to people having achieved a status because they worked for it and in other cases born lucky to a family who provided and worked hard in the past. Having said that it is no lie that millions of folk born from poverty have gone out into the world and made good for themselves, taking an idea and pushing into great riches because they found a niche and a need.in people for their idea. Those people were the ones who did the fight and had understanding of how a system in society works. It has nothing to do with labelling or color or a group at all. It is an individual right to all to go make life worth living and no one can or will do it for us.
The bottom line then about racism is not about supremecay who is privileged and smarter and richer and 'black or white" but its about 'us' as humans wanting to be part of a society sharing space with each other on an equal footing and bringing our talents and skills to the party.
Racism is raising up because too many 'people' are thinking division - black and white. Saying things like them and us when in the meantime its people with different tastesforming a society. There is no such thing as division. There never was a 'them and us' ever before. It was always humans struggling through a controlling governing system which taught us as people that we have to live and work in different areas. Why should we as the people of SA allow this, are we not all equal? Of course we are! We are South Africans and we are immigrants and visitors yes but we are one species together. Racism is when we think and act divisions and do not talk to each other about our similarities and experiences. How will that ever work in the whole cycle of man on earth?
