There are so many gems just around the corner yet somehow we seem to neglect them. Talking to others it seems everyone has seen this particular gem but me. If you like me enjoy exploring new places and have not been to the Fourway’s Farmers Market then read on…or simply read on about a place you have enjoyed before.
Last week I saw a notification about a band formed from four members of current and past students from my old high school. I’ve followed their wonderful progress but have not actually heard them play. I decided it was time to change this…
I had also never been to the Fourway’s Farmers Market, even though I had heard good reviews about it. That definitely needed to be changed, I needed to see this market for myself and so I convinced my best friend that we needed an excursion( of course even she had visited before).
So despite a few unexpected weekend problems, we made it in time to watch Jerry and the Bandit’s , as well as enjoy a drink from Sumting fresh ,and wonder through the stalls as they slowly closed up.
For some awesome food and singing servers Sumting fresh put a bright smile on my face… “drop that chicken down low” is still floating around in my brain like a hit single. The market was much livelier than I had expected and I felt like I was in a place to be. The local flavour was evident at every turn, a flavour like no other, one we need to enjoy and celebrate. A fantastic place to spend a lazy day relaxing on a hay bale or bench…
With entertainment, gifts, food and drinks it’s a recipe for success!
