From Africa's most healthy economy in 2008 to a bankrupt state in 2016

SO, before we all go and make our mark on Election Day….let’s look at facts.

Under the leadership of ex-presidents Nelson Mandela and Thabo Mbeki (both lawyers, with exceptional educational qualifications) from 1994 -2008, our beloved country can be typified as:

Safe and peaceful,     Racially tolerant with a passion for Nation building,  Financially strong,    Disciplined,   Very few instances of service delivery failures,  Low government corruption,  Plan for increased infrastructure and housing for the poor,    Open media communication

Since 2008 when ex-president Mbeki was summarily ousted by Zuma (who is proud that he never had a formal education) and his cronies, the ANC Zuma lead government has led our beloved country to:

·        Violence and safety fears for SA residents,   Racial intolerance and Xenopobia with Zuma instigating racism against whites,    Financially on the brink of Bankrupcy,       Lack of discipline in parliament and civil society,     Collapse of Service Delivery,   Exorbitant and unpunished corruption in Government and semi-Government institutions,     Plan for increased infrastructure and housing for the poor, which unfortunately was fraught with fraud so the poor did not benefit as they were supposed to,   Suppressed media reporting (just like in the old apartheid days)

After 22 years in government, the ANC has disintegrated from a party for all and specifically for the poor, to a party for the few who are loyal to ZUMA (unfortunately not the poor ones).

When will we learn, did the majority of South Africa vote for this, do you feel that Madiba the father of our new Nation, will be happy with what he was hoping for South Africa has come to this? Surely not.

So, on the Municipal Election day on 3 August 2016 and the next General Election, think before you make your mark.
