I'm not necessarily trying to campaign for ANC but truth be told, I don't think DA has done and could have done a better job than ANC with the democratic New South Africa even if they were to be in power now or 22 years ago.
Reason it out for yourself, DA has been running only one Metro in one Province for over 10years and failed to improve the lives of township dwellers and to transform Western Cape(one can tangibly feel racism in the air of WC & it is pitiful how some black...s&coloureds there are so complacent about their ordeal there, like real "uncle toms").
In over a decade DA failed&is failing to serve the smallest percentage of SA HDI's their fair&equal dignity; how than will DA cope with serving the majority of SA township dwellers.
Over just 22 years ANC managed to transform all 8Provinces with over 10 Metros ran by ANC; it may not be perfect but there is a healthy balance in service delivery(dignity), its either all are served or none is served, but never a case of blacks served and whites unserved or vice versa.
Let's face it ANC, if one judges proportionately& soberly, has over performed DA by faaar a margin, in fact DA is no contest as yet. For a HDI to vote for DA, while DA is failing to show progressive local&provincial& national transformation policies, will be a showing of irrationality.
I must admit though, DA gets 100/100 for service delivery in HAI areas & preserving white privilege for HAI(historically advantaged individuals).
HAI who believe in upholding that imbalance will be irrational not to vote DA; but HAI who believe in a balanced society where either all or none is served, will be irrational not to vote ANC.
I will consider voting DA the day they manage to at least realise Cape Town needs racial & socio-economic transformation & take one successful step towards achieving it
