Kaizer Chiefs players come under fire

George Lebese has on numerous occasions came under fire whenever Kaizer Chiefs players are being criticised for not giving it their all on the field or for producing bogus of performances, even though some suggests that he is perhaps reprimanded, lambasted or rather rebuked by the nature of play that is not of preference unto the coach Steve.

The man still hasn't been able to express his dribbling techniques, if not the sublime passes that both he and the core of players in the team's midfield have been able to produce in the past seasons and that as a result made stadiums to be emptied whenever the team took it to the field, except for the derby, for it has always been in the club's nature, to play a game which contained the African flair and a star with those attributes of a Kasi player as it is referred to, in the hood.

Former Kaizer Chiefs players have reiterated that the latter hasn't yet turned out to be a player that he should have been by now, as far as expectations are concerned , some even went to the extent of throwing in utterances such as " perhaps, it's a vengeful way of repaying a coach whom he(George) doesn't like playing under", meaning that his pilgrimage in going down in the team's hall of fame is  ajar, with age slowly but surely catching up with him, as he is still far behind or is rather in devoid of consistancy of a perfomance to match stats of those who played before him and played a game reminiscent to his.

Stats continue to reveal and display by all means that the player needs to step up his game in order to fill in the boots of those who came afore him, to bring back the glory days at the club. The management should ensure that they themselves strangle the team's budget, come window transfer in searching a more suitable player in that particular role , who will continue in filling the void left by the greats.

Looking at the number of seasons that George has been at Naturena, it is shocking to say that he still isn't as established as other players like Jabu" Ngwana wa swenya" Mahlangu and Scara Ngobese who played a similar game to him ,despite the fact that they both had short or limited spell at the team, meanwhilst he(George) have been at the club since 2008 and having over hundred caps under his belt at the club.

Now, with his contract ending next year in june, the question remains,  should he be left as a free agent or should the team extend his contract and continue to witness the meaning of this idiom " A hippo may stay under water for thousands of years but will never actually come out to be a crocodile" as an African say goes?
