Let's all say SORRY to a mass murderer!

Let’s all say SORRY to Anders Breivik, mass murderer!

I am incensed, in fact over the top incensed! So much so that yesterday, my sense of political correctness failed completely!

I kicked the dog, burnt the cat, boiled the family rabbit, beat the wife and then wrote rude words on my black board. Yes, I still have a blackboard, but that’s a subject for another day!

According to a recent New York Times report, a Norwegian court found that the Government of Norway had violated the rights of one Anders Behring Breivik by incarcerating him in a three roomed suite, (with windows nog all) equipped with a fridge, treadmill, TV, DVD player and Sony play station!

In the court’s judgement, Breivik’s solitary confinement, in such splendid surroundings, was detrimental to his mental health and violated his rights!  Breivik, the man who killed 77 people during a gun and bomb rampage in 2011 and left dozens of others wounded and mentally scarred for life!

Oh, and just by the way, the judge also ordered the Government to pay Breivik’s legal costs!

Mr Breivik has previously sued the Norwegian government, claiming that they were “slowly killing him!”  I can understand that, as a self-proclaimed martyr, Breivik believes in the axiom, “an eye for eye, etc.,” and no doubt felt righteously aggrieved at not getting at least 77 death sentences.  However I think his complaint about microwave dinners and cold coffee was a bit unfair on the ‘poor old’ Norwegian prison services!

Breivik certainly did not concern himself with the violation and rights of his victims but then nor do suicide bombers. Frankly I prefer suicide bombers as they don’t complain afterwards and we don't have to find board and lodging for them!

The West’s obsession with political correctness never ceases to amaze me and fortunately, occasionally amuse me but not in the case of Anders Behring Breivik!
