Mob mentality

I respect the democratic right of everyone protesting; however the escalation into destruction where people are getting hurt or killed is something I will NEVER accept.

Your freedom of choice and freedom of expression does NOT allow you to take away that very freedom from anybody else in the exercising of yours.  Burning down schools, halls, clinics, homes, or whatever stands in your destructive path makes your actions CRIMINAL and not democratic.  The day a marauding group of protestors went on the rampage and government REWARDED them by giving into their demands, is the day we lost control over the choice between right and wrong. 

BUT… if you think that these mobs are the only ones out of control – then think again.  You behind your keyboard under the guise of being incognito while firing your volley of word ammunition into the cosmic void out there need to accept that you too can become part of a MOB intent on breaking down everything that gets built up by living breathing people out there.  Spewing hatred and racism while tweeting, blogging, facebooking, commenting or whatever other social media you think you can hide behind makes you as bad as those running around with pangas, bricks and guns.  At least with them you can physically SEE the destruction while the damage your words do can leave an even worse scar on the souls of the people you attack. Like a bunch of ravenous piranhas you all band together while attacking anybody who doesn’t agree with you.

All this you do while HIDING behind technology. 

So next time you go into a feeding frenzy attacking somebody or something online, at least have the honesty to admit that just like the out of control mobs out there hell-bent on destroying EVERYTHING around you, so you too are hell-bent on running with the mob destroying the very fabric of our society.

Question by all means, but stop condemning and baying for blood with the rest of the hordes out there.  Each one of us have been given a brain – use it!  Not as a collective with the mobs online – but as individual thinking sentinel beings who can logically reason away that sheeple do not grow a society – but individuals and individual actions do.

Think your own thoughts, make up your own mind and treat others with respect. Do NOT become part of a mob. Words can hurt, words can inflame and words have consequences.  Use it wisely.
