Oscar - Not an acceptable explanation

So Heather Malcherzcyk has scoured the Oscar trial record, and feels confident to educate us all, on the apparent basis that five justices of the Supreme Court, and nine justices of the Constitutional Court, are all idiots, and should rather use the analysis of a housewife from the UK. Alrighty then.

So Oscar, according to her count (and I'm paraphrasing here), said he felt scared 23 times, and vulnerable 8 times, and didn't know, m'lady, 19 times, and puked in his bucket, 11 times. You get the picture. And all of this means that he was telling the truth, and is the real victim here. Apparently.

That would be all well and good, except for one teensy detail... even Judge Masipa, an apparent ally of the Pistorius clan, stated that Oscar was an unreliable witness. The SCA judgment was even more scathing of Oscar's conduct in court.

Convicted of murder, and returning to court for re-sentencing, Oscar declined to be cross-examined. Is that the course of action of a man who has nothing to hide, and is absolutely invested in the case he has presented to the court? Of course not. It is an admission that his stories are so implausible as to make talk of unicorns and sparkly fairy dust quite credible.

Guilty! And I'm certain the SCA will once again take a dim view of the beneficial treatment doled out by Masipa, and tack a few years onto his sentence.
