Remove the Financial Vampire: The ANC

South Africa’s tax revenues are just above one trillion Rand on an annual basis (that is one thousand billion Rand) [www.fin24.com/Economy/4-taxes-that-helped-sars-collect-r1trn-20160401]. This is collected by SARS and then distributed throughout Government departments, via the Treasury. These amounts are meant to, amongst others: pay public servants, fund the army, pay for grants, fix roads, fund hospitals, build power stations, run the Post Office and all of the myriad of things that a modern government needs to do.

The Government of the Republic of South Africa is controlled by the ANC, via its unassailable majority in Parliament. The ANC has, via its policy of cadre deployment, placed key party-loyal cadres at each “lever of power” throughout the Government and the State. This includes the collection, distribution and subsequent spend of said one trillion Rand, that it receives every year. However, the ANC itself has a history of not paying creditors, being sued for money and generally having little financial sophistication or financial morality. In fact, it appears that the ANC may be financially bankrupt. The self-same ANC is led by the corruption scandal-plaguedJacob Zuma, whom has needed to feed 6 wives and 22 children (that we know of), on a public servant’s salary and yet he is functionally illiterate and certainly numerically illiterate. His public readings of larger numbers make that clear. This has caused his personal financial situation to be desperate, thus leaving him extremely vulnerable to be bribed and manipulated by Schabir Shaik (already jailed for bribing Zuma) and now the Guptas and who else in between? This appears to satisfy his insatiable greed, so the fit is a good one.

So you have a modern state, earning one trillion Rand a year and the spending of that colossal sum of money is left to the financially bankrupt ANC (the moral bankruptcy is of course another story) and Jacob Zuma (fighting off 783 corruption charges). The latter thinking it fine to spend nine million Rand to buy cars for his four remaining wives. This is nothing more than a parasitical relationship, where the parasite feeds off its host and sucks it dry of blood, until the host eventually dies. It is now time to remove this parasite, this tick, this financial vampire, called the ANC from the host, the Constitutional Democracy of the Republic of South Africa and throw it where it belongs, on the rubbish dump of history.
