Sacoswu open letter to Correctional Services

REFERENCE : DCS LEARNERSHIP CORRUPT RECRUITMENT 2017*

A tendency appear to be the order of the day as and when applicants are considered for employment within the Department where sinister and most macabre modus operandi determine the candidate of preference and also where the applicant is to be deployed.

Typical incidents which has become the norm rather than the exception being:

(1) Applications are invited for learnership position where a specific date is mentioned as the closing date for applications, yet certain individuals are totally ignorant to this and accept applications for learnership positions even after the official closing date;

(2) Criteria is set for positions, i.e. learner-ship vacancies where the entry level is 23 and not what would be the most relevant and appropriate age viz 18, to be considered for the vacancy.

This in essence discriminate against applicants that would enroll on a learner-ship program after having completed their Grade 12, whom now have to wait 5 years before they could be considered to be enrolled on the learner-ship program within the Department;

The tendency appears to be that positions are only being filled by children and or relatives of management in the different areas, but then management being so sly in their conduct that they do not fill a vacancy in their own area of jurisdiction but have a tit-for-tat agreement with management in another area, where their family and friends are then deployed in return for having to then employ the friends and family of those management in the their area of jurisdiction;

It on the face of all and everything which is the tendency within the Department an appropriate conclusion to make that all appointments, committees that have been nominated to interview prospective candidates, need to be disbanded and a moratorium place on its entire action plan as individual and or families are becoming the victors due to unorthodox, unscrupulous and sinister actions within management.

We fear of being victimised against when exposing these anomalies forces the writer to remain anonymous as history has proved where the Department would act without even having substance against employees who dare to criticize or expose wrongs in the Department.

Employees.
