Spur: We get outraged at the wrong things

Sphamandla Choma, 14 years, just died after being left paralyzed after an assault by his head principal at a school in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. NO UPROAR
A baby of 6 months just died after being moved out of a Gauteng Health facility to an ngo because of the Nehawu strike. NO UPROAR
The same Nehawu strikers barricade the Ga-Rankuwa Realabilwe child care centre where care is provided for orphans and HIV infected young children. The Nehawu workers place padlocks and burning tyres around the facility. The children is left without food or medicine, and the children and a handful of care givers are only rescued after 4 days. NO UPROAR.
A female deputy school principal, Priscilla Mchunu , giving extra classes to learners, is gunned down in front of her class in KZN. NO UPROAR.
A farmer's testicles is cut off on a farm and eaten by the attacker, a woman is tortured with an electric drill on a farm, amongst the dozens of farmers killed so far this year, including a family of four. A Zancster MP, Promise Manana, says farmers must be buried alive in a debate on farm murders in national Parliament. NO UPROAR.
Dozens of boys maimed and killed in the yearly circumcision, by unscrupulous operators wanting money for their "services". NO UPROAR.
Life Esidimeni. SASSA. Uproar - BUT NO CONSEQUENCES
One argument between two parents at Spur, that only started after the one parent's child hit the other parent's child cause a ........... ? And only because the one parent is white and one is black. If both parents were the same colour, it was going to be nothing at all.
