As we brace ourselves for what is anticipated to be the coldest winter.
Most of us find ourselves already being baptized by relentless stacks of work and ambushed heavily by submission dates.
Throughout this hectic time I took some perspective reasoning and reflected on sudden deductions which aroused interesting thoughts.
The first deduction is the common flawed mindset of running away from challenging tasks we faced with, note I say challenging not tough but challenging tasks.
We’ve grown too fond of cliches such as “don’t give up”,”keep going”, “hard work pays off” etc. To a point where we’ve lost sight of the true weight those words hold.
Too many of us look to survive and take hits in harsh times which is the problem. Why look to hang on while you should look to thrive and metamorphorsize(evolve) yourself In the process.
The social links have us believing that life should be smooth plain sail and any deviation from this is vile, cancerous and plain death!. But that is far from the truth. Life wasn’t defined as the smooth journey but we must include both sides of the coin when we refer to life, those harsh times are part of living.
Every composition cell and fiber in your body was formed through chaos by a clean systematic process in the middle of all the discord resulted in a miracle that formed us. I tend to refer to a saying that “All beauty derives from pain and suffering” a simple fundamental example is a woman giving birth.
A pain threshold that exceeds any other, yet by some miracle moments later the feeling is accompanied by euphoria, sheer pleasure, complete happiness and fulfilled joy.
My point is suffering and bad times are not going anywhere. For the set remainder of your life winter is part of your year and purely living for spring, summer and autumn is not enough as to live a fully fulfilled life. Living a full life means embracing the winters in our lives.
I’ll be quick to add that some winter concerns are valid and such a devastating pain as death is the worst. That stands out as the only exception to the rule of this article. Put death aside and every form of pain out there is valid and recoverable, not always necessary BUT valid.
We must keep in mind that these obstacles were designed to modify us like heat transforming minerals from a rock looking object to a diamond. Tough times bring about transformation of some sort and transformation leads to progress and Life without progress is redundant.
Stand out and take charge of this obstacle and applying your self fully to the task could see a stretched progress within.
Let’s buckle up and program our mindsets to not only withstand but conquer the harsh storms waiting ahead, I’d advise you to carry some necessary much needed equipment as well such as solution based thinking and Perspective along. It will be brutal, it will shake us up heavily, bruise us and knowing that you are suffering can only mean one thing, Summer waits as bright as ever on the near side.
But for now I shall dive back into the much demanding period I’m facing and look to take cover, for all we know WINTER IS COMING!..
