However sometimes God decides to deal with each individual differently, so we cannot put everyone in the same box and think God will deal with us the same. Yes God is unchanging, He's the same yesterday, today and forever and He's no respecter of any person or He doesn't have favorites (even though sometimes I feel like I am His favourite). God loves us the same. He doesn't love the saint more than He loves the sinner. If we think that way, then His love wouldn't be unconditional, would it? But it would be based on our merits and what we have done for Him to love usdont you think, and would we still call that Agape?
But I think His methods on how He deals with us are not the same. That's why you should never make a mistake and compare yourself to anyone else. Because God's purpose for my life and yours they not the same, they totally different. Maybe God would allow me to be betrayed by my brothers, sold to slavery, accused wrongly and be thrown into prison first before I rise to power ( read the story of Joseph). You on the other hand, your fathers donkey gets missing, while you out there looking for them, you meet a prophet and he anoints your body and tells you God had chosen you to be king over His nation, no betrayal, no prison, no struggles. Your kingship is handed to you un a silver plater (read the story of Saul).
Is God unfair by doing that? Nope, God is God. He chooses what to do, who to do with, when and where to do it. Our job is to obey, and by the way He made us for Him, we were not made for Him for us (I hope that makes sense).
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.Proverbs 21:1
Seek God's face if you want to know the will for your life, ask for His divine guidance if there's a decision you need to make. It's good to seek other people's counsel, but keep it at the back of your mind that man is man, his abilities are limited, so is his knowledge, understanding and wisdom. He can counsel or guide you to the extent of his knowledge and wisdom. But God is unlimited - He can do exceedingly, more abundantly what you can imagine or ask.
