Cape Town - First National Bank has added Acer laptop computers to its inventory for customers.
The bank on Thursday added Acer laptops and ultrabooks to its range of tablets and smartphones that customers can purchase over 24 months.
"New and existing FNB Gold or Platinum Cheque Account clients as well as FNB Private Clients will be able to purchase any of the following Acer products: The Aspire S3 Ultrabook with Core i5 processor, The Timeline M3 Ultra and the Value Series V3 Laptop," FNB said.
The bank entered the device market when it launched the iPad and a range of smartphones sold to customers at no interest or charges over a 24 month period.
It also retails the Apple MacBook computers and a range of Samsung Galaxy Tabs and the cost will automatically be added to customers' banking account.
"Mobility is a key component for FNB and being able to provide our clients with a product that is not only ultra-convenient but offers portable accessibility wherever and whenever," said Ilse Smuts, Head of Marketing at FNB's Core Banking Solutions.
The company had previously installed its banking app on tablet and smartphone devices sold through this programme and has so far sold 80 000 units through the programme.
The cost for the Acer laptops range from R249 per month for the Acer Aspire V3-571 Core i3 Notebook, to R459 for the Acer Aspire S3-391 Core i5 Ultrabook. This excludes the monthly banking fees.
Details of pricing and plans for computers and smartphones are available on the FNB
website.
