A group of teenagers who refuse to live in fear while social issues like poverty, teenage pregnancy, human trafficking and more engulf their society under their watch, are taking action.
The group, consisting of learners of St Boniface High, Boys’ High, technical high schools and Boston College, have established the Stop organisation, aimed at dealing with such social ills affecting young people.
After successfully registering the organisation, the emphasis is now on finding solutions.
Stop therefore invites all members of the community, including all the various stakeholders in the cause, to support the next activity against human trafficking, planned for Friday (16/06).
A march against human trafficking through the streets of Galeshewe, will be followed by activities like performances at the Ivuma Arts Centre in Montshiwa Road, opposite Ekhaya Pharmacy Med.
The march, which will be supported by parents, the Northern Cape Department of Safety and Liaison, the Traffic Department and the Hawks, will start at the Ivuma Arts Centre.
