Johannesburg - One person has died and four others were seriously injured when two cars were involved in a rear-end collision in Pretoria West, paramedics said on Friday.
"Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to an accident on Rebecca Steet near Church in Pretoria West last night after 21:30," Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann said.
"Upon their arrival on scene they found that two vehicles were involved in a rear-end collision resulting in one person tragically losing a life and four people were found to be in a serious condition."
The injured were treated on scene before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the accident was unknown.
Police were investigating.
