Johannesburg - Eleven men were rescued after their rubber duck inflatable boat was swept out to sea at Gansbaai, near Hermanus, the NSRI said on Wednesday.
The Hermanus National Sea Rescue Institute crew were activated at 23:30 on Tuesday, said spokesperson Craig Lambinon.
"NSRI Hermanus volunteer sea rescue duty crew launched the sea rescue craft South Star and responded," he said.
The rubber-duck, with recreational scuba divers on board, had experienced motor failure.
"All 11 men, from Masakhane, Gansbaai, were brought ashore safely by NSRI Hermanus without incident and no one was injured."
The operation was completed at 05:30 on Wednesday.
