14 injured in KZN crash

Durban - Fourteen people were injured following a crash on the N2 between Umvoti and Tinely Manor in Kwa-Zulu Natal on Saturday.

Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a light motor vehicle and minibus were involved in a rear-end crash.

Upon assessment of the occupants from both vehicles, paramedics found that 14 people sustained injuries in the crash, said Santi Steinmann, Netcare 911 spokesperson.

The injured patients were treated at the scene before they were transported to hospital for further medical care.

Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events were unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
