Cape Town - Fifteen people were injured on Tuesday after a taxi rolled down an embankment on Baden Powell Drive in Khayelitsha in the Western Cape, ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said.
ER24 paramedics, along with Metro services, arrived on the scene and found the taxi lying on the side of the road.
On assessment, paramedics found that 15 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately no one had sustained any serious injuries.
Meiring said paramedics treated the patients for their injuries before transporting them to various hospitals for further observations.
It is understood that the taxi had rolled from Baden Powell Road, down the embankment onto the N2.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
