Durban - Two KZN police officers have been injured after a shootout with robbers in KwaDukuza on Saturday morning, IPSS Medical Rescue said.
"A number of armed people went in and robbed [lending company]… Supreme Finance," said the rescue company’s Dylan Meyrick.
"When they came out, they were surprised by the police and a shootout occurred."
He said the police officers were not seriously injured.
A manhunt was currently underway with a police helicopter circling the area around King Shaka Street where the robbery occurred.
He said it was alleged that the robbers got away with hundreds of thousands of rands.
