Cape Town - Two men survived a hail of bullets when about 10 suspects dressed in Muslim attire and apparently wearing bullet-proof vests opened fire on a Delft house on Thursday night.
Police sources told News24 that three bakkies with men who had their faces covered and had reflector jackets on pulled up outside the house in Vierlelie Crescent at 22:10.
The suspects allegedly called for the two men by name and when the duo went to the gate, shots were fired. Twelve cartridges were later retrieved from the scene said police sources.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana said the two sustained multiple gunshot wounds. They survived the incident and were taken to hospital.
Rwexana said no arrests have been made.
