Johannesburg - Three people were killed and three others injured when a bakkie and truck collided on the N12 in Westonaria near Carletonville, paramedics said on Saturday.
A woman in her 30s, a boy, aged 4, and a girl, aged 13, were thrown from the back of the bakkie and died on the scene, said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.
Three people who were injured were treated by paramedics before being transported to Leratong Hospital, he said.
The cause of the collision was unknown, but local authorities were investigating.
