Cape Town - Four men died when two cars collided on the R43 at the Weltevrede turn-off in the direction of Tulbagh on Sunday, Western Cape paramedics said.

"It is understood two cars collided head on and one of the vehicles, with three male occupants, caught alight," ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said.

"ER24 and other services arrived on scene and found the vehicles on the road."
