4 killed as car, truck collide in Cape Town

Johannesburg - Four people were killed when a car collided with a truck on the N7 outside of Malmesbury, Cape Town, emergency medical services said.

Spokesperson Robert Daniels said the accident occurred shortly after 20:00 on Monday.

"EMS responded with specialist equipment to extricate the bodies from the mangled wreckage which took several hours due to the severity of the crash," he said in a statement.
