Pretoria - The ANC Youth League North West members who tried to interdict the upcoming national congress will be disciplined, national task team co-ordinator Nathi Mthethwa said on Thursday.
"They know the internal processes and they decided to come and drag the name of the ANC here," he said after the High Court in Pretoria dismissed an urgent application by the group.
"The people who brought us here, who dragged us to court here, have to face the wrath of the organisation."
Judge Moses Mavundla earlier ruled that the urgent application lodged by the disgruntled group of North West ANCYL members was not urgent.
The group - Thabo Molamu, Mbuyisela Booi, Gontse Maruping and Papa Jood - alleged that there were unresolved disputes relating to the exclusion of delegates.
Mthethwa said the group wasted the National Task Team's time.
"We [are] just upset that our time is wasted, we are preparing for congress and delegates have arrived. When we talk about some foreign tendencies, which we are resolved to uproot, this is one of them."
There were people who were trying to sow division in the ANC and the youth league, Mthethwa said.
The ANCYL's long-awaited congress will get underway in Midrand, Johannesburg on Friday.
