Johannesburg - The case of two Angolan men accused of smuggling dogs was postponed in the Springbok Magistrate's Court on Friday, Northern Cape police said.
The case would resume on 29 October, police spokesperson Sergio Kock said.
Inocencio Da Silva Manuel, 35, and Joao Texteira Antonio, 37, were arrested while travelling to Angola at the Vioolsdrift border post on 17 August.
They had 33 dogs in their vehicle and trailer, but allegedly only had export permits for 23 of the dogs.
The dogs included Boerboels, Huskies, and German Shepherds. Kock said most of the dogs were dehydrated and showed symptoms of malnutrition.
The men were released on R5 000 bail each in August.
