Body found floating in sewage in Dutywa

Dutywa -  A woman's body has been floating in sewerage in Dutywa, Eastern Cape police said on Saturday.

The body was found by municipal workers on Friday morning, said Captain Jackson Manatha.

"It is the body of a female estimated to be 35-years-old," Manatha said.

"She was wearing a lime top and floral skirt black in colour. "

The cause of her death was not immediately clear as there were no visible injuries on her body.

Police had since opened an inquest docket for further investigation.

They called on community members to assist in identifying the woman and locating her family
