Body of Deneysville boy found

Bloemfontein - The body of a seven-year-old Deneysville boy who went missing with a friend over the weekend has been found, Free State police said on Monday.

"Police found the body at the Vaal dam," said Colonel Thandi Mbambo.

Two boys, Bongani Mosia and Nthako Thithi, both aged seven, were reported missing after they were last seen playing under the bridge in Refengkgotso near Deneysville around 17:00 on Saturday.

Police arrested two men, aged 21 and 32, on Sunday in connection with the disappearance of the two boys.

Mbambo said the search for the boys was called off when it became dark on Monday afternoon.

The search for the other missing boy would continue on Tuesday morning.
