Johannesburg - A wedding party of nine were injured when a car crashed into the function they were attending in Margate on Saturday afternoon, paramedics said.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha said a report from the scene indicated the car veered off the road and crashed into the wedding party at the Margate library around 17:30.
"Netcare 911 paramedics and the provincial services arrived at the scene and after triaging found four people to have sustained serious injuries while five escaped with minor injuries," Botha said.
"After medics treated the injured at the scene, they transported them to various hospitals for the care that they required."
