Johannesburg - Two adults and a child were killed when a bus crashed near Mount Ayliff on Thursday, the Eastern Cape health department said.
17 people were injured in the accident near Nzongiseni, nine of them critically, spokesperson Sizwe Kupelo said.
Another four were seriously injured and four sustained minor injuries.
The driver appeared to have lost control and went off a bridge.
45 people were killed in two separate accidents, involving a bus and a minibus, in the Eastern Cape at the weekend. Both vehicles overturned. 10 of the dead were in the minibus, 35 in the bus.
