Pretoria - Dawid Connoway intends pleading guilty to the murder of his ex-fiancée Nicolene Schreuder.
This was revealed during his court appearance at the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Connoway had initially been expected to apply for bail, but instead chose to abandon his bail bid.
Connoway, 39, was alleged to have shot Schreuder in the forehead at her offices in Moreleta Park on April 29.
The 35-year-old died on the scene.
Connoway faces charges of murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and pointing a firearm.
At a previous appearance, the court heard that Connoway had pointed a firearm at a security guard when he sped off on a motorbike to go into hiding with his mother and stepfather in Bronkhorstspruit.
They were also arrested and charged with defeating the ends of justice, but were later released on bail.
The court had also queried whether Connoway's firearm was licensed as he claimed it was.
He submitted that the gun had been stolen but was then recovered and handed back to him.
Chief Magistrate Desmond Nair postponed the proceedings to July 18, when Schreuder's post mortem results would be available.
