Decomposed body of child found in Lenasia

Johannesburg - The decomposing body of a child was discovered in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg, on Tuesday evening, Gauteng police said.

"A passer-by noticed hair protruding from a rock near an informal settlement in Lenasia. He discovered that it was a human body and called the police," said police spokesperson Kay Makhubela.

The child's body was in a bad state of decomposition, and it was not yet known whether it was a boy or a girl, he said.

A murder docket has been opened.

No arrests have been made.

I am sick to the core of my being...the blood of the innocent children will come and haunt us as a nation for not doing anything about keeping our children safe.

There is something very wrong and missing in our Country; living under the rules of ANC have brought so many deaths and crime; unions; taxis are ruling this country. I have lost a son! When will our President stand up against crime and rape; let the people be hung that have killed someone; when found guilty; but it is whom you know and they just walk free to do another crime. The criminals run this country; yet our President is on a shopping spree with one of his wives or maybe 2; he cannot run this country; it is time that the woman in this country take the law in their own hands. Enough is enough!

What the hell? I dont generally support the death penalty in all cases but the escalation of crimes against innocent children in our society should be reason enough for us to reconsider our take on punishing such attrocities against them.

I say, bring back the death penalty but, only in serious cases where the crime caused a death of an innocent person. Might it be a child or adult, white or black. There was hardly crime when the death penalty was in effect previously. Don't understand me wrong here now. I don't want apartheid to return or, nor do i long for the old regime. I just want fair justice for each and every one living in South Africa. A serious crime where a death was caused by the perpetrator is only fair. If he was willing to take a life that easily, he must be able to give his life easily. Let the criminal still die with some sort of dignity and respect, as we all deserve dignity and respect irrespective. The criminals laugh at our justice system and go on vacation when sentenced. There is no fear for them to go to jail and, once sentenced with the death penalty, I'm sure that all criminals will think twice or rethink his plans, before he murders again. The bible says, "an eye for an eye". Mr Zooma, you don't care for the citizens of your country. It seems that you just want to have your salary at the end of the month, have decisions made for you and sign them into power. You were voted in for another term and at least, you should deliver to the citizens of this country and, show that they didn't vote you in, as a shop window puppet for the ANC. Yes, everybody has reached their tether and, if all of the citizens stand together and demand from the government to reinstate the death penalty.
