Cape Town - British murder-accused Shrien Dewani is suing the lawyer of one his wife Anni's murderers for his phone records, Die Burger newspaper reported on Monday.
Dewani is suing William da Grass, the lawyer for taxi driver Zola Tongo, who was jailed for 18 years for the murder of Anni Dewani while she was honeymooning in Cape Town.
Tongo testified during his trial in 2010 that Shrien Dewani masterminded her killing during a hijacking in Gugulethu.
Shrien Dewani wants Da Grass to hand over phone records between 14 November 2010 and 30 November 2010.
These include all cellphone numbers registered in Da Grass's name and all landline numbers registered on his name or the name of his law firm ENS.
Beeld and Die Burger are in possession of a copy of the summons.
Da Grass declined to comment to the Afrikaans dailies.
He has until 15 August to hand over the phone records in the Western Cape High Court.
